Four Simple Steps To Take Back Control of Your Life
Find Clarity and New Awareness, Possibly Even An Opening to Self-Realization
I often write about things I most want to know, so I study, experiment and take risks, and when something works for me I need to share it.
For example, one day I took back control of my life and stopped applying to be a Flight Attendant. I was well into my 7th decade.
Seriously. But I had been hired at age 75 for the position, and spent one entire week in training before deciding that particular airline wasn’t for me and I quit. Here I am a couple of years later, missing the energy of having purpose that makes me thrive.
Earlier in my career, before I switched to the mental health field and building my own business, I had spent a few years as a flight attendant traveling the world. I got burned out and quit. But, as the popular saying goes: “Once a flight attendant always a flight attendant. ”
I just couldn’t shake loose from the adventure of uncertainty where every day is different. Even today, as my friends have retired and are posting pictures of their cruises or grandkids on Facebook, I lament my regrets over quitting the airlines.
