How To Create A Feeling Of Presence Do It Now and Get An Instant Positive Jolt Of Change
“Open your eyes to see what can only be felt with the heart, and you’ll taste the beauty of living slow.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Sinatra was singing “Old Devil Moon,” and my mood elevated.
I sat quietly at Starbucks, my laptop unopened, unusual for me. The sound of coffee grinders fused with the buzz of conversation adding to a sense of being in the moment. I felt the experience of slow.
I wanted to have awareness, not just when it occurred to me at random, but to develop this practice and do it more throughout the day.
I already knew it was life changing because on occasion, thoughts get uploaded from somewhere that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
“Where did that thought come from?” I have asked myself in those momentous serendipitous moments.
“The more you pay attention to it the more it asserts itself in your life.” Hale Dwoskin teaches from The Sedona Method
The idea of presence is everywhere, ubiquitous. It’s in science, and in the Bible:
Draw nigh onto me, I will draw nigh onto Thee. James 4:8.
Einstein said, “I only want God’s thoughts. All the rest are details.”
It starts with substituting negativity for harmony; replacing fear with Truth. We discover fear isn’t real when we put it to the test.
Practicing Presence is transformative because it’s a Universal Law of cause and effect.
The catch is it only happens in the present moment.
When we’re living in the beauty of slow.
