I have a new way of looking at my life first thing in the morning. Those first two minutes are where I get myself right, and tune into the channel of abundance and gratitude. Then the day can start.
I know from past experience when I’m determined, big surprises wrapped in beautiful bows of wonder come sweeping into my life.
Mike Maples, Jr., founder of Floodgate and on the Forbes Midas list eight times in the last decade says in his talk to entrepreneurs at Stanford, “It’s so important to get into the right headspace, knowing that the future can be defined by determined people.”
“Think about the future. . . Be legendary. . . Assume preposterous thoughts.”
Of course we all know that in order to have the energy to think that large, it takes feeling good first…right?
Or does it?
It seems counterintuitive but, as it turns out, when we take a step forward toward a goal first, the brain rewards the tiniest changes in behavior with good feelings.
