There is more to your life when the habitual patterns of thinking stop. Once you recognize that a story in your head has been causing you suffering you will awaken to the illusions that have been making you miserable.

Eckhart Tolle, Bestselling author of The Power of Now, says that people in this situation are trapped in a delusion of thought.

He says this is merely living on the surface. A rich life is waiting for you when you come out of the old patterns of negative thinking. Can it be this simple? It is, and far easier than the struggles and drama we often wring out of each day.

The 4 steps to a better way:

1. Cut off the negative emotion tree

Motivational speaker, Brian Tracy explains, “You always decide how you’re going to feel. If you’re not careful you’ll fall into the negatiave habit pattern of blaming the other person, and blame is the core of all negative emotions.”

When you choose well-being and inner peace, your true values won’t allow you to compromise your happiness. You are more self-compassionate and this flows outward to others.
